"Lamb to the Slaughter" - I'm the Detective.

If I was a detective investigating the murder of Patrick Maloney in “Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl, I would have searched her whole house lookin for a weapon that would create a huge hole in his head. I wouldnt't have trusted his wife Mary Maloney and when she asked me to eat the lamb I wouldn't have eaten it. I would need a better alibi from her because she could have killed him and the went to the store. I would also look on his head to see if there was anything around the wound, like a piece of wood from a baseball bat or meat from a lamb leg.
