“A Storm in the Mountains” One with Nature
I went to summer camp last year up North by Redding with my church. We went white water river rafting so I saw a lot of canyons and water snakes. They water was so clear and clean we were able to drink it. The sound of nature including birds, leaves, and rivers were all that we heard. We stopped at a little island that the quides called rasberry island because there were a lot of rasberries on it. We jumped in the cold water and went into this underwater cave, it felt like we were in the "Pirates of The Carribean" movie.

“Through the Tunnel” Analysis Paragraph
In “Through the Tunnel” by Doris Lessing I find it convincing that Jerry takes such a risk and survives because I have heard of alot of bad accidents happen in the news and the people still survive. Like the Chilean Miners, they were trapped in a mine and then they got rescued and survived.

Homeroom Reform Ideas.
We could improve our school by giving the students their own laptops so they don’t tell the teachers they don’t have Internet access, and it would be convenient for the staff. It would be good for us to get more money so we can be more like regular public schools and have more Smart boards As Foster youth we already faced many challenges such as going to other group homes and leaving our own families being in foster homes. Having access to computers help us such as by learning how to work and learning how to use them because most of this world is based on computers. Our computer based classroom needs funding so we can continue work after school using a set of Netbooks, laptops, or Nook books.

What I Learned in the Second Quarter of English 10
This quarter I learned a great deal of things. I learned how to create a blog. I also learned how to bookmark a page and a create tag for it. I also learned how to navigate my way through Google Docs. I also learned how to make a graphic organizer on Google Docs. Even though I've been here a short while, I have learned a lot.

"Lamb to the Slaughter" - I'm the Detective.
If I was a detective investigating the murder of Patrick Maloney in “Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl, I would have searched her whole house lookin for a weapon that would create a huge hole in his head. I wouldnt't have trusted his wife Mary Maloney and when she asked me to eat the lamb I wouldn't have eaten it. I would need a better alibi from her because she could have killed him and the went to the store. I would also look on his head to see if there was anything around the wound, like a piece of wood from a baseball bat or meat from a lamb leg.

"Lamb to the Slaughter" Giggling Paragraph
One of the reasons why Mary Maloney from the book "Lamb to the Slaughter" giggled was because she thought it was funny. She giggled at the four police men when they said "I think the weapon is right under our nose" because it was. Mary Maloney murdered her husband with a frozen lamb leg and asked the police men to eat, so there wasn't evidence that she killed him.
“The Gift of the Magi” The Item I’d Save
If I could save just one item from a fire, flood, or an earthquake I would save my money if it was a fire. If it was a flood I would save my electronics. I wouldn't save anything if an earthquake happened. I would save my money because I work hard to earn and save it, I can also buy the stuff a lost. I would save my electronics because there really expensive. I plan to keep saving my money if a disaster happened and I kept since I was an adult.

“Catch the Moon” Grief Paragraph.
I think that the change Luis experiences after he addresses the grief he feels towards his mother’s death is believable. I think its believable because sometimes when people lose a relative or close friend they are sad for either a while or just for a little bit, but even if they do get sad for a while they still got over it. So Luis just got over the death of his mother

"SPA Movie & Games Day Paragraph."
This last friday I expected to do a quiz first period for the book "Boy in The Striped Pajamas." But they told us to go to Ms. Priesters class and wait to go into Kyles classroom to watch a movie. When we went to Kyles classroom and they told us that we are going to watch "Freedom Writers." I was excited because I have never seen that movie. After the movie we went to the Gym to either play baketball or watch them play, I chose to watch. The teams were sophomores versus freshmen on one side of the court and juniors versus seniors on the other side of the court. To be honest I think the seniors versus juniors was the most interesting game. The freshman were losing badly against the sophomores. Then after the basketball games we went to the cafeteria to eat same barbequed food such as burgers, hot dogs, and chicken.

“’The Bass, the River, and Shelia Mant’ compared to “I’m Gonna Miss Her.”
I think that "The Bass, The River, and Sheila Mant" is similar to Brad Paisley's song "I'm Gonna Miss Her." It's similar because the boy in the story and Brad Paisley like fishing better than the girl. They both love the girl and fishing. They see the fish's more important than the girl. In the song Brad Paisley chooses fishing over the girl, and in the story the boy was more attention to the fish than the girl.

Internal and External Conflicts in “The Bass, The River, and Sheila Mant .”
In the story “The Bass, The River, and Sheila Mant" there are some conflicts. The boy, the main character, takes a girl named Sheila to a concert in a canoe. When Sheila sees a fish she says she hates them and fishing, then the boy remembered he had a fishing line in the river. He caught a very huge bass and doesn't want to pull it in because Sheila doesn't like fish and doesn't want to be embarrassed.

"Catch the Moon" Falling in Love.
I think it depends on the person, when you fall in love you can let your emotions change you, or don't let it change you. For an example i have been in love and i didn't really that person change me, my sister fell in love and she got married, so that definantly change her life. There's also some people when people fall in love the are all nice to everyone.

“’The Highwayman’ and ‘Typhoid Fever’ Comparison.”
The characters in "The Highwayman" and "Typhoid Fever" are kind of similar because they are the verge of dying. They both are taken away from the person they always talk to. Its important for Frank to read last part in"The Highwayman" because it shows him what could happen if he doesn't take it easy.

"Typhoid Fever'-Present Tense Childhood Memory."
I'am 10 years old and my sister woke me up in the morning and told me we were going to "Disneyland". I was so excited to go that I didn't even eat any breakfast. Me and my sister finally left my house and drove to "Disneyland." We arrived to "Disneyland" in two hours. Me and my sister had a lot of fun.
“‘The Cold Equations’ – Marilyn’s Point of View.”
“The Cold Equations” is written in third-person limited point of view. It would be different if it were narrated by Marilyn

“’The Storyteller’ - Memorable Books from My Childhood.”
"Green Eggs and Ham" br DR. Seuss.
"Where the Red Fern Grows" by Wilson Rawls.
"Horton Hears A Who" by DR. Seuss.
"Captain Underpants" by Dave Pilkey.
"Cat in The Hat" by DR. Seuss.
My favorite childrens book used to be "Green Eggs and Ham" by DR. Seuss because one of the characters name is Sam-I-Am or simply Sam and thats my name. I liked this book because it rhymes, its funny, and it was one of the first books I read by myself. There are two main characters, the first is unnamed, the second is Sam-I-Am. Throughout the book, Sam tries to encourage the first unnamed character to try green eggs and ham, though he meets with little success. The unnamed character refuses to taste the dish, insisting that he would not like it.

"Cafeteria from Different Points of View.”
First-person narrator: I had a long day today and I'm very hungry. There this annoying student who is giving the stern cook a hard time. He keeps saying that he's tired of the same old food over and over again. I keep tapping my spoon and clearing my throat loudly to let him know I'm waiting in line. But finally he moves over, and I'm really relieved. I get my food and sat down I took a bite, but my food was cold.
Third-person limited: There was a playful kid that whenever he had a bad day he would annoy the stern cook and whoever was behind him in line a hard time. One day he got an "F" on his math test, so he was mad and kept giving the stern cook a hard time by asking "Why do you always serve the same food over and over?" He kept going on so the kid behind him in line would get mad. He stopped when the kid behind was getting mad because he was scared.
Third-person omniscient: Ounce upon a time there was playful kid that liked to annoy people whenever he had a bad day. It was lunch time, and that kid felt like annoying the stern cook by asking, "Why do you make the same food over and over again?" The cook was annoyed and responded, "I cook whatever is on the schedule, sorry." There was a another student that got done with football practice and was very hungry. He didn't want to be rude and tell him to stop complaining, but gave signs that he was waiting by tapping his spoon and clearing his throat loudly. But the cook was irritated and threatened to send the kid to the principal's office, so the kid was scared and stopped talking and moved on. The hungry student was relieved to finally got his food, but it was cold.
